Your first visit

There is no rushing on a first visit.

Your first visit will usually be a comprehensive examination, giving us the chance to get to know your dental history, understand any concerns you have, and build a full picture of your oral health. We will take our time with this appointment – there is no rushing on a first visit – so that you leave feeling informed, comfortable, and confident in the plan ahead, if any treatment is needed at all.

We welcome patients of every age, from young children having their very first look-and-count through to adults and older patients, and the whole family can be registered together. If you have any worries about visiting a new dentist, please do let us know when you book; we are more than happy to adapt your first appointment to help you feel at ease.

Getting started is easy – simply get in touch by phone or through our online booking system, and our team will guide you through the rest.

01

A warm welcome

Reception confirms your details and helps you settle in.

02

Conversation first

Your dentist listens to your priorities, experiences and concerns before beginning the examination.

03

Thorough assessment

Appropriate checks may include teeth, gums, bite, oral tissues and diagnostic imaging where clinically indicated.

04

A clear way forward

You receive suitable options, likely fees and next steps. There is no pressure to commit during the appointment.

Children and additional needs

A first visit can simply be an introduction.

For children who may find a dental visit overwhelming, we offer gentle introductory visits to help them become familiar with the environment, meet the team at their own pace and begin building trust before any treatment is considered.

Every child is unique. We will adapt our approach to their individual needs and support families from the very beginning.
