01

General & preventive

Protecting oral health through regular care, early detection and practical prevention.

◇

Dental examinations

A thorough dental examination is the starting point for good oral health, and it is about far more than simply checking for cavities. During your check-up, we will assess your teeth, gums, bite and soft tissues, looking for any early signs of decay, gum disease or other changes, so that small issues can be addressed before they become bigger ones.

Just as importantly, your examination is a chance for us to listen to you – any concerns you have, any changes you have noticed, and any questions about your dental health. We will always explain what we find in plain terms, and talk through any recommended next steps so that you understand exactly what is involved and why, before any treatment is agreed.

We recommend regular check-ups for every member of the family, at a frequency tailored to your individual needs, and we are always delighted to welcome new patients for their first visit with us.

Dental & oral hygiene

Good oral hygiene is the foundation of a healthy smile, and our hygiene appointments are designed to help you keep on top of it in between check-ups.

During a hygiene visit, we gently remove plaque and tartar build-up through scaling and polishing, helping to prevent gum disease and tooth decay before they start. We will also take the time to talk you through your own brushing and flossing routine at home, offering practical, personalised advice – not a generic leaflet – so you can keep your smile healthy between visits.

Regular hygiene appointments also give us an early opportunity to spot any changes in your gum health, which is important at every age. Whether it is your first hygiene visit or your fortieth, we will take the time to make sure you understand what we are doing and why, and to answer any questions you have along the way.

✦

Fillings

If a tooth has been affected by decay, a filling restores its shape, strength and function, stopping the problem from progressing further. We use modern tooth-coloured composite materials wherever appropriate, so your filling blends naturally with the rest of your smile.

We know that having a filling can be a source of anxiety for some patients, so we always take our time – explaining what to expect, using local anaesthetic to keep you comfortable, and checking in with you throughout the appointment. If you are ever unsure about your options for restoring a tooth, we are happy to talk you through the alternatives before we begin.

⌁

Sport mouthguards

A custom-fitted sport mouthguard offers far better protection than an off-the-shelf version, cushioning the teeth, lips and jaw from impact during contact sports and other physical activity. Because it is made from an impression of your own mouth, it fits securely and comfortably, without the bulk or slipping that can make shop-bought guards difficult to wear – and to talk in.

We provide custom mouthguards for patients of all ages, from children just starting out in team sports to adult athletes, and we are always happy to advise on the right level of protection for the activity you take part in.

02

Cosmetic dentistry

Subtle, considered treatment that enhances your smile without losing its character.

◒

Veneers

Veneers are thin, custom-made shells bonded to the front of a tooth to improve its shape, colour or alignment – a popular option for patients wanting a subtle cosmetic improvement.

Every case is different, so we will always assess your individual situation and talk you through which of these options, if any, would best suit your needs, your smile and your budget, before any treatment goes ahead.

03

Teeth straightening

A straighter smile is not just about appearance – well-aligned teeth are easier to clean, put less strain on your jaw, and can improve your bite.

Orthodontic options

Invisalign clear aligner and fixed brace options.

We offer teeth straightening options for teenagers and adults alike, and we will always take the time to understand what you would like to achieve before recommending a particular approach.

Whether you are drawn to the discreet, removable convenience of clear aligners or prefer the tried-and-tested reliability of fixed braces, we will talk you through the differences, the likely timescale, and what day-to-day life looks like with each option, so you can choose the route that suits you best.

Repair & restore

Restoring comfort, function and appearance with durable, carefully planned treatment.

▱

Crowns, bridges & veneers

Sometimes a tooth needs more than a filling to restore it fully, and this is where crowns, bridges and veneers can help.

A crown covers and protects a tooth that has been weakened by decay, a large filling, or a fracture, restoring its strength and appearance. A bridge replaces one or more missing teeth by anchoring a false tooth to the neighbouring teeth, helping to restore your bite and prevent other teeth from shifting out of place.

↧

Root canal treatment

Root canal treatment is used to save a tooth when the nerve or pulp inside has become infected or inflamed, often as a result of deep decay or injury. Rather than losing the tooth altogether, root canal treatment removes the affected tissue, cleans and seals the space inside, allowing you to keep your natural tooth.

We understand that root canal treatment has a reputation for being uncomfortable, and we want to reassure you that, with modern techniques and careful anaesthesia, most patients find it no more difficult than having a filling. We will talk you through each stage in advance, so you know exactly what to expect, and we will always make sure you are comfortable before we begin.

⌒

Dentures

Dentures are removable replacements for missing teeth, custom-made to fit your mouth comfortably and to restore your ability to eat, speak and smile with confidence. Whether you need a partial denture to fill a gap or a full denture to replace an entire arch of teeth, we take great care over the fit, comfort and natural appearance of every denture we provide.

We know that adjusting to new dentures can take a little time, so we will see you through the process step by step, from initial impressions through to fitting and any follow-up adjustments needed to make sure they feel right. If you already wear dentures and are experiencing discomfort or looseness, we are happy to review them and advise on repair, relining or replacement.

◇

Extractions

We always aim to save a natural tooth wherever possible, but occasionally an extraction is the best or only option – for example, where a tooth is too badly damaged or decayed to restore, or where crowding needs to be relieved as part of orthodontic treatment.

If an extraction is needed, we will always talk you through why, what to expect during and after the procedure, and how best to care for the area while it heals. We understand that having a tooth removed can be a source of worry, so we take particular care to keep you comfortable and informed throughout, and we are happy to discuss options for replacing an extracted tooth if that is something you would like to consider.
